Rev. Jonathan Banks
Senior Pastor
Jonathan was called to serve at Berean Baptist Church on Sunday, February 14, 2021. He and his wife Kristi have three wonderful children and we are excited to have them at BBC!
Personal Testimony: “All my life has been spent in ministry having grown up in a pastor’s home and having been raised in a Baptist Church. But that alone is not enough to get you into the right relationship with God. I came to this conclusion that neither my family nor my church was good enough to get me to God when I was 11 years old. I attended Camp Maranatha in Ila, Georgia. It was there on July 18, 1995 that I trusted Jesus Christ as my Savior and invited Him to the Lord of my life. Three years later as a 14 year-old boy, God began working in my heart about serving Him with my life. It was May 1998 at the age of 14 that I surrendered to the call of ministry.”
Goal in Ministry: “My goal in ministry is to preach the Word of God without apology, in order to lead as many people as possible to come to know Christ as their Savior and to help them grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that they may learn to follow Him in their daily lives.”
